Pure is taking a long time to import my publications. What do I do

Sometimes, when using a general or common search term that would produce a large number of results, Pure can take a long time to produce possible import matches and the system may time out. If Pure becomes unresponsive, please close the import window and click on the 'Add new' button again. If no search results are displayed, you may need to close the window, log off from Pure and then log in again. You can improve the speed with which Pure finds search results by using more specific search terms, for example, a few words from a publication title.

Sometimes problems searching for items can be caused by Web of Science or Scopus etc being unavailable, rather than by problems specifically in Pure. If you are unable to search an external database for an extended period of time please contact Puresupport@qub.ac.uk
