What is Pure?
Pure is an abbreviation of ‘Publication and Research’ and is a new Current Research Information System (CRIS) which stores research management information for Queen’s University. Pure replaces the My Research / Publications database and elements of My Research Profile from the My Research application in Queen’s Online. In addition, Pure sources information (via synchronisations) from the core information systems HR, QFIS and QSIS to provide research management information in one system.
This system will be used to access research information for university management reporting, individual research profile management and statutory REF 2014 reporting. Indeed, Pure has a REF 2014 module that will be instrumental in enabling the University to make its REF submission in November 2013.
