International Office
The International Office is staffed by officers who have specialist knowledge of a number of international markets and who are fully committed to the internationalisation of Queen’s University. A key feature of the work of the office is the development of institutional partnerships, that are of mutual benefit to both partners, with the equality of each student’s experience – academic and social – at the centre of any arrangement.
International Office staff are engaged in a range of activities and visit a number a number of countries throughout the year. Activities include:
- Working with Academic Schools in supporting the development of international institutional partnerships, and ongoing liaison with partners
- Assisting with the organisation and high level visits by Queen’s staff to priority regions
- Working with agents in country and undertaking dedicated counselling interviews and pre-departure briefings
- Attendance at relevant Education Exhibitions Participation in Trade Missions and other relevant events
- Providing guidance on academic qualification equivalencies
- Supporting the INTO Queen’s University Joint Venture
- Administration of relevant scholarships schemes
- Contributing to the support of international students including ‘Meet and Greet’ and Orientation
- Promoting overseas learning opportunities to local students from Queen’s
