Induction
Induction for new research staff
Staff Training and Development offer a comprehensive one-day induction programme for research staff new to Queen’s. Details of the current programme are shown below. The morning sessions include some practical advice from established researchers as well as short talks from the Research Support Office, Research Policy Office, Library etc.
Lunch will be hosted by senior research staff, so you can get to know one another in a relaxed setting and make some useful contacts at Queen’s.
The afternoon sessions focus on Career Development during your time at Queen’s. While the emphasis is on fun and informality, hopefully some serious learning will get done!
While Induction is primarily for new staff in their first year at Queen’s, anyone is welcome who has not had a chance to attend induction previously.
Programme
Wednesday 29 September 2010
Venue:
Senate Room, Lanyon South
Designed for: All recently appointed research staff
Aim: This one day event is designed to assist with the process of induction at local level for new research staff. You will also have opportunity to discuss and plan your professional and career development whilst at Queen’s.
