Study Tour - Career Connections
This event is targetted at students from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences who may be undecided about their career direction and the options available.
Students have the opportunity to engage with employers across the public, private and voluntary sectors. Students have the opportunity to engage with employers in their premises and also have the opportunity to engage with a broad range of employers and QUB alumni at presentations and networking events held in the Student Guidance Centre at QUB and at the NI Graduate Recruitment Fair. In total, students engage with 10 organisations, and have a networking exercise to carry out with employers at the NI Graduate Recruitment Fair.
Students participate in business games and recruitment exercises and attend employer presentations providing an overview of a range of organisations and graduate opportunities as well as an insight into selection processes.
The aim of the programme is to increase students' confidence to make informed career decisions and make connections with potential employers. Throughout the 4 day programme students gain an understanding of how to present themselves in a professional manner and engage with employers in a professional context.
It is anticipated that the 2017 Career Connections Workplace Study Tour will take place in June 2017.
For Route A accreditation you must complete the reflective report, evaluation and be involved in the dissemination event.
