Volunteering

‘You can see all your hard work come together at the end of year when the charities are presented with their cheques, you can see how much the money really means to them.’

Volunteering is about helping others, about making a difference.  But do you realise how much it can help you?  Volunteering can help you develop important employability skills like self-confidence and team-working, stretch you by giving you new challenges and help you focus your career choice.  Take your choice of getting involved in RAG (Raise And Give) activities on-campus or working directly with a favourite charity or voluntary organisation.

If you would like information on volunteering opportunities please check the information on the Students' Union (SU) webpage at http://www.qubsu.org/OpportunitiesSkills/VolunteerSU/Opportunities/ .  You may also be interested in the opportunities advertised via Volunteer Now which is a regional to local organistation that will work to promote, enhance and support volunteering across Northern Ireland. Volunteer Now is about building stronger communities, connecting with individuals and organistations and changing lives www.volunteernow.co.uk .
