Academic & Personal Skills Development
The Learning Development Service has organised a welcome event to help you make the most of your academic experience at Queen’s University Belfast.
You will have the opportunity to:
- meet other mature students
- gain helpful tips
- find out about relevant skills workshops and one-to-one support
Come along and find out more on Friday 27th September (details below). Lunch will be provided and if you have time there will be the options of a tour of Queen’s and a Belfast bus tour (free tickets available from 10am in Whitla Hall)

- 1210 – 1220 The Mature Student Experience: Peer Mentors
- 1220 – 1230 Student Union support: Caoimhe McNeill, VP Equality & Diversity, Students Union
- 1230 – 1240 Library Resources: Diarmuid Kennedy, Subject Librarian, McClay Library
- 1240 – 1250 IT services at Queen’s: Patrick Brannigan, IT Training and Assessment Unit
- 1250 – 1300 Learning Development: Tim Crawford, Learning Development Service
- 1300 – 1330 Free lunch and informal Q&A session
- 1330 – 1400 Campus Tour: Conleth Burns and Student Guides
