Promoting your Organisation to Queen’s Students

The Careers Guide

The Careers Guide is the official publication of Careers, Employability and Skills. It enables employers to target Queen’s students and increase their organisation’s visibility on campus. Published by GTI, the guide is one of a series of twenty-seven publications produced in partnership with leading universities in the UK, Ireland and France.

On-Campus Presentations and Interviews

A range of venues and facilities are available, free of charge, to hold company presentations or staff a stand on campus. Catering can be arranged at a cost through Hospitality Services and it should be noted that technical or other support may incur a charge.

A limited number of rooms are available for employers to conduct placement and graduate interviews on-campus. A charge of £50 per day includes tea/coffee, sandwich lunch for up to two people and administration.

To book a presentation or interview on-campus contact Nuala Griffin, Employer Liaison Co-ordinator at n.griffin@qub.ac.uk or 028 9097 3615.

‘Skills for Success’ Employer-led Workshop Programme

This is your opportunity to contribute to the skills development of future graduates of Queen’s by delivering a workshop, case study or group activity on the key skills required for the graduate world of work.

Careers, Employability and Skills will work closely with academic staff to promote these events to students.

For further information contact Nuala Griffin, Employer Liaison Co-ordinator at n.griffin@qub.ac.uk

Insight into Management

This programme is designed to help final and penultimate year students develop their skills in team-working, communication, leadership and commercial awareness.

Throughout the 3 day course, groups of students complete an intensive programme of business games, simulations, case studies and presentations facilitated by recent graduates in management positions. Both students and facilitators consistently describe the programme as hugely beneficial and enjoyable.

If your organisation is interested in contributing to or being associated with this programme, please contact Deirdre Deery, Senior Careers Adviser at d.deery@qub.ac.uk
