AIESEC is the largest student run organisation in the world; we have global presence in 1700 universities in more than 110 countries worldwide. Our aim at AIESEC Belfast is to send students from Queen’s University on life changing experiences to either work or volunteer abroad. There are over 11,000 opportunities on our database right now which are split into two categories, the Global Community Development Programme (GCDP) and the Global Internship Programme (GIP).
The GCDP is your chance to volunteer and make a difference in a community abroad. These experiences are ideal for over the summer holidays as they last for between 6 and 12 weeks. There are a wide range of different charity projects available such as teaching English, HIV/AIDS awareness and building projects.
The GIP is a professional and paid experience for graduates which can last from 6 to 18 months. The GIP is an opportunity to gain real work experience in the career of your choice, setting you apart from other recent graduates. We have availabilities in many well-known companies throughout the world in various areas of work.
Not only can we offer you a first class experience we can also offer you high quality support. When you sign up, AIESEC Belfast will be on hand to answer questions and guide you through the searching and application process. There is also a conference before you leave to prepare you for the culture shock and give you advice on how to integrate into a new country. While you are abroad, an AIESEC committee where you are living will be there to pick you up from the airport, show you around and help you with anything you may need while you’re in their country. Once you have arrived home, we offer another conference to show you how to re-integrate and also how to make the best use of the skills you have gained whilst abroad. Because we are a non-profit organisation, we are able to offer our programmes for the competitive price of £350 which includes the conference fees and our administration costs.
