The programmes below can all contribute towards Degree Plus accreditation.

When is it?

Workplace Study Tours

Visit a variety of employers, participate in active learning opportunities and network with professionals in a range of industry sectors and locations including: the London Law Tour, the London Finance and Business Tour, the Brussels Tour, Career Connections (Belfast and Dublin) and the Germany Tour.

Various times throughout the year

Insight into Management

Nationally recognised management skills programme valued by graduate recruiters.



City Scholarship programme

A programme for first year students who are interested in a career in Corporate Finance or Corporate Law managed through collaboration between Queen’s Alumni, the Queen’s Development, Alumni and Relations Office and Careers, Employability and Skills. 

Placements in June. Applications open in Oct/Nov through MyFuture.

MEDIA Programme

Media Employability Development in Action
A one year practical employability programme producing a new and innovative campus careers communications channel for students.

Year-round. Applications in Semester 2

Get Employment Ready Award

The Get Employment Ready Award provides Level 1 AHSS students with an opportunity to:

•Find out more about yourself and what motivates you; what your values and interests are and how they relate to the job market.

•Learn how to express your skills and qualities to employers on paper, online and in person.

•Research employers you are interested in and begin making plans for levels 2 and 3

•Participate in a programme of five workshops leading to Degree Plus accreditation.

•Secure an internship. All programme participants will have the opportunity to apply for internships available to students on this programme.
