Learning Development Service

About Us

The Learning Development Service at Queen’s provides academic skills support to undergraduate students. We do this both on-course, as part of taught degree programmes, and via individual one-to-one engagement. Academic skills that we offer guidance on include: time management, exam preparation, academic writing, referencing, academic integrity, and research. You may encounter us as part of your taught modules, where we offer Canvas-based learning resources and associated live workshops. Otherwise, you are also welcome to book a one-to-one academic skills appointment with a member of the LDS team.

Students are encouraged to explore the One-to-One page of our website to learn more about what they can expect in an appointment. Academic staff at Queen’s will find more information about LDS on-course support on our Information for Staff page.

LDS aims to empower students with the skills and knowledge they need to develop as learners and achieve their full academic potential at Queen’s.

Welcome to the Learning Development Service!
