Maths Skills

We offer free one-to-one appointments on topics such as differentiation, integration, algebra, vectors, trigonometry, mechanics and statistics; we also cover basic numeracy skills and help with preparing for psychometric numerical reasoning tests.  If you would like to improve a specific maths skill, then please contact us.

One-to-one Appointments:

Appointments take place in the Student Guidance Centre, and are usually on a one-to-one basis and last one hour.  To arrange an appointment, either email lds@qub.ac.uk, phone 028 9097 3618 or contact us here.

We currently have four tutors who provide maths support and we have appointments at the following times:

Mondays: 12-5*, 6-9

Tuesdays: 9-5*

Wednesdays: 9-1*, 6-9

Thursdays: 9-5*

Fridays: 10-1

*Statistics appointments available

If you are unable to attend any of these times, contact us and we will try to book an alternate time.  Evening and Skype¬†appointments are available upon request.

Drop-ins:

Mondays, 3.30-5pm - MBC, Biomed Library [basic numeracy, drug calculations, numerical reasoning tests and statistics/SPSS queries]

Mondays, 6-7pm - McClay Library, Auditorium [applied mathematics queries]

Wednesdays, 6-7pm - McClay Library, Auditorium [applied mathematics queries]
