Winter Graduations

Confirmed Schedule - Winter 2013

 Wednesday 11 December - Friday 13 December 2013 (inclusive)

You must register for graduation by noon on Tuesday 3 December 2013 if you wish to attend the ceremony.

If you do not register by the deadline, you will be unable to attend the ceremony and will receive your parchment by post in January 2014.

The QSIS Graduation Registration Wizard will open on Wednesday 20 November 2013. Please note you cannot register for graduation until you have been awarded your degree classification and you must ensure you have no holds/suspensions on QSIS.

Graduation Registration Procedure - 2013

You cannot register for graduation until you have been awarded your degree classification and you must ensure you have no holds/suspensions on your account.

                         Wednesday 20 November 2013 - Graduation Registration Wizard opens in QSIS

                         Thursday 21 November 2013      - Deadline for publication of results

                         Tuesday 3 December 2013          - Graduation Registration Wizard closes

All students must complete the Graduation wizard regardless of whether or not you are attending a ceremony. This will allow you to indicate whether you wish to defer to next year or check details for your parchment if you are graduating In Absentia.

For details on how to access the Graduation wizard, please click here. This will only take a few minutes to complete. Please print and retain a copy of the Graduation Reference Page (Invoice/Receipt) after completing the Wizard, and read all guidance carefully.

For further details on the ceremony, please visit the On Your Graduation Day section of the website.

If you do not complete the Graduation wizard:

  1.     Your name will appear in the Graduation Programme and published in the newspapers as In Absentia;
  2.     You will not be allocated a seat at a graduation ceremony;
  3.     You will need to contact Income and Student Finance Office to pay your In Absentia fee and receive your parchments to your home address;
  4.     By default, your Queen's email account will be deactivated.

If you are no longer able to attend after registering, please contact the Graduation Helpline (028 9097 3223) so that we can ensure your name is not called at the ceremony.


You must pay the graduation fee as soon as possible. It will be possible to pay your graduation fees online at the point of registration. The Graduation Reference Page must be retained and presented when collecting your gown and tickets at the times indicated.
