TO COLLECT YOUR TICKETS AND GOWN, YOU MUST PRODUCE YOUR REFERENCE PAGE WITH PROOF OF PAYMENT BY WEB OR STAMPED BY THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT
How many tickets do I get?
You are automatically allocated two guest tickets. All graduand and guest tickets are free of charge. Additional tickets for the garden party may be purchased in The Welcome Centre at a cost of £10.
The 2 automatic guest tickets are guaranteed once you have completed the Registration Wizard.
Additional tickets may be requested but are NOT GUARANTEED.
Additional tickets can be requested through the Registration Wizard. Tickets cannot be allocated until the registration wizard has closed. The availability of additional tickets depends on remaining capacity in the hall once all students have registered. The remaining seats in the hall are allocated at random using a computer process for fairness.
Allocation of additional tickets will appear on your Graduation Reference Page once the allocation has been completed. Tickets will be allocated between 24-72 hours before collection times.
You can find your Graduation Reference Page on your Qsis account: > Main Menu > Self Service > Degree Progress/Graduation > Register for Graduation.
You should then click on the link ‘Graduation Reference Page’, please note this page may be blocked and so you will need to enable this page to open on your pop-up blocker.
Will my seats be reserved?
Your graduand seat is reserved, please refer to the board at the left hand entrance to Whitla Hall for your specific seat number.
Guest seating is identified on the ticket - if your guests have balcony seats, they will have assigned seats however if your guests have ground floor seats, these seats are allocated on a first come first served basis.
What if my guests do not get additional tickets?
If you are unable to get additional tickets for your Ceremony, guests can watch a live stream of the ceremony from the Student’s Union [opposite Sit William Whitla Hall].
What if my guests are bringing children?
Each guest, including all children, entering the Hall must be in possession of a guest ticket irrespective of age. Children in a pram/buggie do not require a ticket however their parent/guardian will be seated at the back of the Hall in an aisle seat. Everyone who steps onto the stage must be in academic costume and so children can not step on stage. We ask that parents/guardians take into consideration that ceremonies can be long depending on the amount of graduands.
