Academic Reps are the students who represent the academic interests of students to the University. There are Academic Reps for each course, School and Faculty in the University. They are all elected each year by the students they represent.
Right now, we are looking for student to take on the following voluntary roles for the 2020-21 academic year:
Students may nominate themselves on the Students’ Union website.
Nominations close at 5.00 p.m. on Thursday 11 June 2020. (Any candidate may withdraw their nomination at any point until the close of nominations.)
Voting takes place on the Students’ Union website from Wednesday 17 June 2020 (8.00 a.m.) to Friday 19 June 2020 (8.00 p.m.)
All candidates must complete the required nomination form and equal opportunities monitoring form.
The elections will be conducted in accordance with the Students' Union Election Rules.
If you would like more information about the roles, contact the Student Voice team in the Students' Union.
Unfortunately our next RIOT! which was rescheduled for Sat 6th June is unable to go ahead due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation.
Instead of endlessly rescheduling to a new date every month or two we have instructed Glistrr to refund everyone who has bought a ticket. This will happen automatically and you don’t need to do anything.
RIOT! will be back in The Speakeasy in full swing as soon as we’re able to do so safely.
In the meantime though we’re going to do a livestream RIOT! set from our living room to yours on Sat 13th June so keep an eye on the Facebook event for more info on that!
Stay home and stay safe!
