Getting a good night’s sleep is vital for health and wellbeing. Not only just your physical health, but your mental wellbeing, performance and ability to learn. During this workshop, Professor Gerry Gormley will explore some of the reasons why many of us can experience insomnia. More importantly, he will provide practical steps on how to improve your sleep.
Meet the Facilitator
Professor Gerry Gormley is a Clinical Professor in Simulation and Clinical Skills in the Centre for Medical Education at Queen’s. Having graduated in medicine from Queen’s in 1995, Gerry went on to become a general practitioner and gained his PhD in Medicine in 2003. Since then, Gerry began his career as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at the University and has been extremely committed to providing a positive student experience, even winning Queen’s Volunteer of the Year in 2019. Gerry works closely with the Wellbeing team at Queen’s and has delivered various ‘lunch and learn’ wellbeing sessions to staff and students in the past.
