The purpose of The Queen's University of Belfast Foundation is to advance the strategic goals and objectives of Queen's University under the direction of an international, independent Foundation Board.
The Foundation Board's primary function is to generate financial support for the University's capital development programmes and academic initiatives. It welcomes the opportunity to identify giving opportunities that match individual passion and priorities and meet individual philanthropic goals.
The work of the Foundation is consistent with the University's purpose, as set out in its Mission Statement: 'To become a world-class university that links Northern Ireland to the global community through the life-changing experience we offer to our students, the distinctive contribution made to society by our graduates and the high quality and impact of our research'. For over 160 years Queen's graduates have been leaders in business, the arts, sciences and government; and its academics have led the world in research, teaching and learning which have helped transform people's daily lives.
The funds generated by the Foundation will ensure that our community can compete with the best around the world by giving our students the tools they need to maximise their potential in an environment which encourages international excellence.
