Double Celebration for Queen’s medical students
A busy week beckons for Queen’s students Catherine Mullan and Adam McClintock, from Limavady, as in addition to their Graduation, the pair are set to marry on Friday, 8 July.
Graduating from Queen’s today (Friday 1st July 2016), with degrees in Medicine, the pair first met at Limavady Grammar School aged 11. Their friendship continued throughout school, and now, 12 years later, they are both preparing to tie the knot, ahead of taking up new jobs as Foundation Doctors in the Causeway Hospital and Antrim Hospital in the Northern Trust.
Speaking ahead of their graduation, Catherine said: “We have both thoroughly enjoyed our time at Queen’s. We both undertook the same degree, but the fantastic thing is Queen’s afforded us both so many different opportunities and career options.
“We have been really lucky we had each other to lean on all the way through school and university. We can’t wait to get started on the next step of our journey together. We are going to Mauritius and Dubai on honeymoon for two weeks, and when we return we will take up our new roles as Foundation Doctors in the Causeway Hospital and Antrim Hospital.”
The happy couple will celebrate graduation with their respective parents.
