International students at Queen's are guaranteed a room in University accommodation for at least their first year of study. Residences are located within easy walking distance of the University in a pleasant residential area.
Queen's has recently invested almost £45 million in providing excellent facilities at the Elms Student Village. Not only is Queen's accommodation amongst the best and most modern in the UK and Ireland, it is also very competitively priced!
Queen's has over 2,000 rooms available. All rooms are self-catered, single study bedrooms. Students share kitchen facilities and make their own meals. There are standard rooms (with shared bathroom facilities) or ensuite rooms (which have a private shower room). Many of the residences are networked for internet access. The Student Centre at Elms Village has a bistro, bar, convenience store and launderette.
Standard rooms cost £76.30 per week (including internet access) and ensuite rooms (including internet access) cost £90.65.

Accommodation for Married Students
The University has a limited amount of accommodation for married students, and most families have to rent property in the private sector. All requests for University accommodation for families should be made to the Accommodation staff at Elms Village in the first instance: telephone +44-28-9097 4403, fax +44-28-9097 4489 or email accommodation@qub.ac.uk.
Private Rented Accommodation
If it is necessary for you to seek accommodation in the private sector, we recommend that you arrive several weeks before your course starts in order to do this. If you have a spouse or family, we advise that you arrive on your own in first instance to arrange suitable accommodation before your spouse and family join you.
A list of estate agents willing to let rooms to students is available through the Students' Union Advice Centre. The Students' Union also has an accommodation noticeboard, located on the second floor, where you can find details of rooms currently available in the University area.
