| Project Description The aim of Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds is to reinforce the principles of a healthy lifestyle in young children between the ages of 8 - 11. The project involves Teaching Fellows from the Division of Basic Medical Sciences (Anatomy and Physiology) visiting schools in the local Belfast city area. During the visits, we work with primary school children to show them how their bodies function, how organs are interact with each other and the benefits exercise and a healthy diet can have on many body systems. Our talks are highly interactive and give children an opportunity to explore basic anatomical and physiological concepts. |
