Geographical Association, Belfast Branch
|
||
| Project Description The Geographical Association (GA) was founded in 1893 with a mission to further the teaching of geography and to communicate the value of learning geography for all. It is the publisher of Geography. The GA has around 40 local branches throughout the UK, including the Belfast Branch (founded 1944), the only one in Northern Ireland. Local branches embody the notion of ‘community practice’ by bringing together teachers, academics and pupils. The Belfast Branch holds lectures and workshops on A level geography topics and its thought to get attendances higher than any other local branch. |
