Stakeholder Engagement in Fisheries Management

| Project Description Following the adoption by the EU of an "ecosystem approach to fisheries management", QUB School of Biological Sciences has won the grant contract to develop fished marine system models as part of the Irish contribution. These models work with highly complex information which must be communicated clearly to answer questions posed by stakeholders including fishing enterprises. To create a dialogue and develop good communications between stakeholders and modellers, and to develop public participation in the process, we are developing an interactive participatory web-based focus for European ecosystem fisheries management. |
