| Project Description A special study module engages medical students with young pupils and their teachers in Primary schools. The project has developed over the last four years and the students now work with thirty five schools. The work carried out raises awareness of health and lifestyle issues and engages the pupils in ways that depart from the normal classroom routine. The students value the project as it develops their communication skills. The project aims are to, 1. Enrich the teaching and learning of health education in Primary Schools. 2. Provide young role models and raise awareness of the work of medical professionals. 3. Improve communication between young people and medics.
