Appointment of Honorary Treasurer
The University's Charter states that there will be an Honorary Treasurer for the University. The Honorary Treasurer is appointed by Senate, the University's Governing Body, for an initial period of four years and is eligible for re-appointment for one further period. The Honorary Treasurer plays an essential governance role, in overseeing the financial activities of the University, and also acts as Chair of the Investment Committee. He/she is also an important ambassador for the University and participates in key ceremonial events throughout the academic year, including graduation.
Senate has recently approved the appointment of the current Honorary Treasurer, Mr Stephen Prenter, to the position of Pro-Chancellor. In this context, steps are now being taken to appoint a new Honorary Treasurer, with effect from 1 January 2013.

All nominations should be submitted to the Registrar's Office, under confidential cover, by no later than Friday, 26 October 2012, using the pro forma available here.
In submitting nominations, you should note the requirements of the position as set out in the Job Description/Specification available here.
