Postgraduate Welcome Week in September and Postgraduate Week in November 2012 were organised by the Postgraduate Student Centre for our incoming and existing postgraduate student cohort. This was in response to the postgraduate student experience survey results which called for the opportunity for students to get connected with their peers across campus. While Welcome Week had an emphasis on introducing new postgraduate taught and research students to all aspects of life at Queen's, Postgraduate Week offered a further array of academic, career orientated, and social events. In organising such events, we hope to enhance the spirit of the postgraduate community within Schools and across the University. Both weeks were bursting with activities, both Centre and student led, such as Inspirational Career Talks, University Challenge heats, Yoga in the Postgraduate Centre, trips to the Lyric theatre, cake club, and a night out in Belfast's vibrant Cathedral Quarter.
