Implausible Opportunities: Crafting an Effective Narrative for Growth

Not all businesses are created equal. More often than not new business ideas fail even if they are practical, but some become successful even if they appear impractical. Those that ultimately succeed do so on the basis of a strong value proposition and the entrepreneur’s ability to create a ‘narrative’. In this session, we explored how to craft narratives and design the business model for success.

Growing profitably: Streamlining Your Revenue Model

Each business has a unique revenue and cash flow model.  It becomes critical to understand how cash flow affects the business and its implications for further growth. Financing structure becomes one central component of growth. In this session, we explore the role of business models and financing structures and their influence on the viability of a business.  Growth is not always profitable, we explored ways to make it profitable.

Creating Customer Delight: Designing Your Business to Make Customers Come Back

Services are one of the strongest drivers of growth. Services create value to consumers and help firms build stronger relationships with their customers. Because of the human element involved in service delivery, implementation is often unpredictable or highly variable. We use Disney as an example for service design, and apply these concepts to our own businesses in a workshop format.  We shared participant experiences in service delivery to help strengthen customer trust and build more profitable relationships.
