On Tuesday 26 February 2013 the 12th Annual Sir Bernard Crossland Lecture took place in Riddel Hall, Queen's University Belfast. The keynote speaker was Sir David King, Director of Research in Physical Chemistry, University of Cambridge. He is also currrently the Chancellor of the University of Liverpool and the Senior Scientific Advisor to USB.
The title of the lecture was 'The Role of Innovative Manufacturing in Meeting the New 21st Century Challenges' and it was attended by over 200 people from the business and academic communitites.
