The Faculty covers a broad spectrum of research areas, and has established a strong track record of research success. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, over 15 subject areas were ranked within the top 25 for their field, with over 50% of research within the Faculty having been ranked as world leading or internationally excellent.
Research activity within the Faculty has been strengthened recently with the establishment of two new Research Institutes – the Institute for Collaborative Research in the Humanities and the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation and Social Justice.
