Scholarships for 2012 Entry

Scholarships for students from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Performance Awards - £1,000

  • If you make Queen's your firm choice in your UCAS application, attain a minimum of three ‘A’ grades at A-level (or equivalent) and enrol in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics subject, you will be considered for one of 50 £1,000 scholarships in your first year of study.
  • You must enrol on an undergraduate course in the following Schools:
    • Planning, Architecture and Civil Engineering (Civil Engineering Courses only)
    • Biological Sciences
    • Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences (Biomedical Sciences Courses only)
    • Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
    • Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
    • Mathematics and Physics
    • Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

  • There is no application process for these scholarships ie. students who meet the criteria will be identified automatically.
  • The top 50 students will be selected on academic performance as determined by Queen's Admissions Service.
  • The award is subject to successful completion of semester 1 of first year (achieving at least a pass mark in each module studied). Eligible students will therefore receive their scholarships following the publication of semester 1 exam results.   

Scholarships for students from England, Scotland and Wales

Queen's Scholarships are available to students from England, Scotland and Wales, paying tuition fees of £9,000.

Eliahou Dangoor Scholarships

The University is participating in the Eliahou Dangoor Scholarships Scheme. A number of full-time scholarships of £1,000 will be offered to new, first year UK-domiciled students with the highest academic attainment at A-Level (or equivalent). Students must enter Queen's in September 2012 to undertake a STEM subject degree programme (as listed above under Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Awards) and be in receipt of a University Institutional Bursary (these are provided for full-time undergraduate students from families with a household income of up to £24,203).  More information on Eliahou Dangoor Scholarships
