Established in 1845, Queen’s is one of the UK’s leading research-intensive universities, enhancing our position on the world stage. Entrepreneurial University of the Year

 Queen’s delivers an education programme rooted in the needs of today’s society and is ranked 26th in the UK for ‘Graduate prospects’ in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014. Our commitment to ensuring our students have the right skills for the world today was recognised when we were recently named UK ‘Entrepreneurial University of the Year’ at the Times Higher Education Awards. Queen’s University Management School’s David Gibson, who was lately named the number one enterprise educator in the world, also won ‘Most Innovative Teacher of the Year’ at the Times Higher Education Awards 2011 for introducing a new curriculum-based Certificate in Entrepreneurship Studies at Queen’s, and for his work in enabling students to develop ‘enterprise for life’ skills.

Employability skills are heavily embedded in Queen’s curriculum. Our Degree Plus Award offers students a competitive edge in the graduate job market. This innovative programme acknowledges skills acquired through participation in extracurricular activities, such as voluntary work, part-time jobs and sport, which are attractive to potential employers.
