Fees and Living Costs

Queen's offers lower tuition fees and living expenses than many other similarly well-regarded UK universities.

If you are enrolling on a programme which lasts more than one year, you will pay the same fixed-rate tuition fee each year.  Tuition fee rates and payment options.

Northern Ireland is recognised by the British Council as having the lowest cost of living in the UK.  We estimate, as a guide, that you should allow in the region of £7,500 to cover your personal expenses during an academic year. Estimated expenses for a full 12-month calander year are in the region of £10,000 (in addition to tuition fees).

For immigration purposes, non-EU students will be required to show evidence of funds to cover living expenses.

Cost of living in Belfast will depend largely on your lifestyle and your student money budgets. Some students spend much more than others! Figures should be used as a guide and are based on local knowledge and NUS average figures on average student experience.
