Further information about the International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate grades stated below are the equivalent entry requirements to UK A-level grades. If a subject is required at A-level then it will be required as a Higher Level in the International Baccalaureate.
These grades should be treated as a guide as variations may occur in certain circumstances.

Applicants should normally have a good Bachelor's degree awarded by a recognised institution with a GPA of 3.2/4, 4.0/5 or an overall average of at least 80% (equivalent to UK 2.1) in order to be considered for direct admission to postgraduate diploma or masters degree programmes.
Queen's University Admissions Office staff have expertise on a wide range of qualifications from around the world and will be able to assess your application's comparability to the UK entry requirement. Please ensure you upload copies of all official transcripts and final award certificates for programmes already completed and those currently being completed.
If you are interested in postgraduate Computing, Finance or Management courses, but do not meet the entry requirements, you may wish to consider a pre-masters Graduate Diploma offered by INTO Queen's.
Students interested in undertaking a PhD at Queen’s University need good grades in their Bachelor's and Master's programmes awarded by a recognised university in addition to a strong research proposal.
Please note that the grade required varies depending on the degree programme. For further guidance, you should consult the Postgraduate Coursefinder or visit the website of the Queen's School that offers the degree programme.
Applicants will normally need to demonstrate a level of English equivalent to 6.5 IELTS or 90 TOEFL IBT (Internet based test). However, some courses have higher or lower requirements (please check individual programme requirements in the relevant undergraduate or postgraduate University Coursefinder.
