2012/2013 Tuition Fees

Students from Northern Ireland

From 2012 Queen's University Belfast will charge £3,465 to students who normally live in Northern Ireland on full time undergraduate programmes. For students entering in 2012-13 for the first time, and going on sandwich-year placements in a later year, the placement year fee will be £680 plus an inflationary increase. Students will not have to pay upfront for tuition.

Students studying here will be able to apply for a loan for tuition for the full amount of the course costs, a living cost loan and a non-repayable living cost grant.

Students from England, Scotland and Wales

From 2012 Queen's University Belfast will charge £9,000 to students who normally live in England, Scotland and Wales (GB students) on full-time undergraduate programmes.  For students entering in 2012-13 for the first time, and going on sandwich-year placements in a later year, the placement year fee will be £680 plus an inflationary increase. Students will not have to pay upfront for tuition.

Students from England

Students from England studying in Northern Ireland will be able to apply for a tuition fee loan for the full amount of the course costs, a living cost loan and a non-repayable living cost grant.

Undergraduate Scholarships

Undergraduate Scholarships are available for students from Scotland, England and Wales.

Students from the Republic of Ireland and other non-UK EU countries

From 2012 Queen's University Belfast will charge £3,465 to students who normally live in the Republic of Ireland or other non-UK EU countries on full time undergraduate programmes. Students will not have to pay upfront for tuition.

EU students can apply to the Student Finance Services European Team (Tel 0141 243 3570) for a loan of up to £3,465 to cover the tuition fee.

Student Finance Framework

The Student Finance Framework has been developed to provide a consolidated and comprehensive guide on all matters which have an impact on tuition fees and associated charges.  The Framework also includes a Fee Appeals Process.
