How to find us: Directions and map and transport links

The main University campus is the size of a small town, situated within three designated conservation areas, making walking or cycling around the area a very pleasant experience. Within walking distance of Queen’s are numerous shops, cafes and restaurants, Botanic Gardens, the Ulster Museum, the Grand Opera House and the Lyric Theatre, the Physical Education Centre and many other useful facilities.

With two airports, direct sea crossings from Scotland and England and a direct rail link from Dublin, getting to Belfast  has never been easier.  Below are some information and links you might find helpful:

Fly

Most major UK cities are within an hour’s flying time from Belfast’s two airports; Belfast International Airport and George Best Belfast City Airport. Competition between budget airlines has been responsible in recent years for a dramatic reduction in fares. There are dozens of flights a day to and from London and other destinations in Great Britain and beyond at student friendly prices. Find out more

Ferry

Fast ferry services make multiple daily crossings between Belfast and ports in Scotland and England. Find out more

Bus

Bus services to Belfast from across Northern Ireland are provided by Ulsterbus. Local bus services within Belfast are provided by Metro.

Rail

Train services to Belfast from across Northern Ireland are provided by NI Railways. An Enterprise train service between Belfast and Dublin takes about two hours.
