Open Days: Experience More

At Queen’s all our facilities sit alongside and complement academia as life-enhancing opportunities and there are more than 190 student clubs and societies to choose from. Our Open Days give a unique peak into university life and the exceptional life-changing opportunities available to Queen’s students.

We encourage you to come along and take a look for yourself at the variety of world-class facilities available for sporting, cultural and social activities and the outstanding services to help you make the most of student life.

The National Student Survey, the most important measure of student satisfaction, puts Queen’s University Belfast 12th in the UK and involvement is key to everything we do.

So sign-up and there will be someone on hand, from registration to campus tours, who will guide you every step of the way on your journey to Queen’s.

Visit the Open Days website.

Campus Tours

For students from outside Northern Ireland who are unable to attend the Open Days, we are happy to organise private guided tours of our campus and its facilities.

Your tour will include visits to the following:

  • The McClay Library, winner of RICS Sustainability Award 2010
  • Queen's Sport, selected as a training ground for the 2012 Olympics and as a co-host of the World Police and Fire Games 2013
  • The Elms Village, which offers guaranteed Halls of Residence accommodation to first year students from England, Scotland and Wales

We can also arrange a subject-specific meeting, so that you can discuss your subject of interest with a member of staff from that department.

Campus tours are offered Monday to Friday, excepting University holidays, and normally begin at 12 noon, however we will always endeavour to accommodate requests outside of these hours.

We would be grateful if you could give at least two weeks’ notice from the date you would like to visit. Your guide for this campus tour will be a current undergraduate student from England, Scotland or Wales. You are very welcome to bring along friends and family.

Please note, your subject-specific meeting and campus tour are only confirmed when you receive a confirmation email detailing your visit.

From January 2014 onwards meetings with the School of Nursing and Midwifery will only be facilitated on Mondays or Fridays. This will not affect those students who would like to request a campus-only tour.

If you would like to book a campus tour and/or subject-specific meeting, please complete this request form.
