Intertextual relations:

  • Textual descent: Matheson ‘Common Version’, group CV-1419 [r&g]:B. See Matheson, PB, pp. 117, 121.
  • Evidence of exemplar: according to Matheson, PB, 121, this ms is a copy of the Heyneman ms (Matheson no. 58, PB, pp. 119-120)or a common exemplar now lost. The illustrations imitate the portraits of the Heyneman ms, as well as following the rubrication style of Latin side notes.
  • Decoration: copied from Heyneman ms or lost common exemplar; because of the different ending, it is evident that if copied from the Heyneman MS., the transcription occurred before it lost its rear leaves (which were replaced C.1460-80).
