About the Imagining History Project wiki

1. How did I get here? Well, presumably you're interested in the Middle English Prose Brut, or you've heard of the Imagining History project and want to check it out.

2. What's a wiki? Find it from the horse's mouth, as it were: What is a wiki?!

3. What about the project's outputs in Macromedia Flash? We decided not to use Flash because of accessibility issues. However, our initial plans to implement a fluid GUI (graphical user interface) for the project remain in place, and we will be launching a manuscript mapping facility later in 2006, built using GIS and AJAX, which will allow users to track the dissemination of Brut MSS - and subsuequently any MS they are interested in - geographically and temporally.

4. How do I edit the wiki? Well, you can't - yet. We are keeping the project website and wiki closed for a period of three months, in order to take views from the scholarly community, at which point we will allow registration of credible users who will then be able to contribute to, amend, correct or extend descriptions of MS in the database and articles in the wiki.
