Introduction
IRCEP brings together, into a new building, Queen's University physicists whose research expertise lies mainly, but not exclusively, in experimental physics. The building provides a state of the art environment for two major research centres. Centre for Nanostructured Media (CNM) Centre for Plasma Physics (CPP) The IRCEP laboratory is a purpose built 4700 m2 state-of-the-art laboratory space which was opened in June 2005. It was constructed with funds from by the Northern Ireland Support Programme for University Research funded by the Northern Ireland Department of Education and Learning and Atlantic Philanthropies. |
