The Laboratory...

The IRCEP laboratory was designed and has been constructed;
- to provide a unified environment for internationally competitive experimental research activities

- to allow the implementation and stimulation of cross-disciplinary projects

- to provide a stimulating and attractive environment for staff and academic and industrial collaborators

- with a long term goal of providing the highest quality research, facility and training opportunities to attract, support and enhance high technology industry in Northern Ireland over the next 15 to 20 years.
The laboratory is located on Queen's University main site and is contiguous with the older  Physics buildings

The laboratory provides 4700 m2  of laboratory  space on four floors, 1,600 m2   of which is open plan. It is provided with the quality services required in modern physics experiments e.g. air quality and vibration damping.
