Eileen Harkin-Jones is the Boxmore Professor of Plastics Engineering in the School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering. She has worked in both industry and in academia, researching on rotomoulding, thermoforming and blow moulding, experimental process optimisation and process modelling in the manufacture of plastics for packaging and other applications. She is a coordinator of the EPSRC funded platform grant on Enhanced Polymer Processing with the University of Bradford and Brunel University and has published approximately 60 research papers.
