The Division of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at Queen’s University Belfast hosted this major European conference on the latest research in psychopharmacology and biological psychiatry.

Symposium topics included:

• Psychoimmunology and psychoendocrinology
• Neuroimaging in psychiatry
• Genetics of psychosis
• 5-HT systems in psychiatry
• Bipolar depression
• Psychopharmacology in neurology and medicine
• Cannabis and psychosis

Workshops were held on:

• Animal models in schizophrenia
• Depression and cardiovascular disease

Several pharmaceutical industry satellite symposia were included in the meeting.

Poster presentation

Delegates were able to present posters of recent research work in psychopharmacology and biological psychiatry.
