Mental Health RRG

Neuroscience is the study of neural structure and/or function.

The aims of the Neuroscience and Mental Health RRG are:

  • To advance the study of neuropsychiatric, neurodegenerative and neuroretinal disorders and to strengthen the links between neuroscience and clinical psychiatry, neurology and ophthalmology.
  • To promote translational research so that clinical psychiatry, neurology and ophthalmology are based on sound, high quality and up-to-date scientific knowledge, and that the direction of neuroscience research is informed by important clinical issues.
  • To further clinical care, research and education in neuroscience relevant to clinical psychiatry, neurology and ophthalmology, by encouraging the participation of as wide a variety of healthcare professionals as possible.
