Nuffield Bursary Scheme for Schools and Colleges
Managed in Northern Ireland by Sentinus, the Nuffield Bursary Scheme for Schools and Colleges allows first year AS Level, BTEC or HND students to take part in science research projects during the summer.
The Centre for Infection & Immunity (CII) at Queen's University Belfast is pleased to support this Scheme in 2013. Projects hosted by CII will provide students with the opportunity to gain six weeks of valuable hands-on experience in a laboratory setting working alongside research assistants, PhD students, Postdoctoral Fellows and technicians. Training will be provided.
Interested students should download an application form from the Sentinus website www.sentinus.co.uk/product.php?id=15 and return it to Sentinus before Friday 15th February 2013.
Students wishing to apply to a CII project should be working towards a Science AS/A level in Biology and/or Chemistry (or an equivalent) and have an enthusiastic interest in CII’s research areas. CII are also happy to talk to any student who has their own idea about a project appropriate to CII.
Further information on the Scheme can also be found on the Nuffield Foundation website www.nuffieldfoundation.org/science-bursaries-schools-and-colleges
