Prof Louise Cosby

The Cosby group has a research focus on two areas of virus-receptor interactions:

• The morbilliviruses genus including measles (MV) and several veterinary viruses
• Examining how increased symptoms of cough and wheeze in asthma, following common virus infections, may be related to the ability of the virus to raise levels of transient receptor potential  and acid sensing (ASICS) channel proteins on airway sensory nerves, smooth muscle and epithelial cells.
