When atmospheric pressure plasmas are positioned close enough together many additional processes become important and interesting interaction phenomena can be revealed. The obvious applications are arrays of devices for large area treatments and 3-dimensional applications. However, the interaction zone itself also has increased potential for improved control and manipulation for tailoring specific desired species, particularly for treatment of bio-materials.
