Research Interests

My research is focused on elucidating the link between dietary intake and cancer risk and progression.  The work concentrates on four main areas: (1) Analysis of dietary intake data within large cohorts and randomised controlled trials (2) Development of interventions to promote long term behaviour change (3) Human nutrition intervention studies with whole foods and whole diets examining clinically relevant endpoints (3) Developing  evidence based guidelines through systematic reviews and meta-analyses of dietary intake and cancer risk and progression (4) Collaboration with NI Biobank to examine the relationship between nutrition/obesity related molecular markers in tumour tissue and cancer progression.
