Biography

Dr. Dajun Du received his PhD degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Shanghai University in 2010. From Sep. 2008 to Sep. 2009, he was an exchange PhD student studying in the Intelligent System & Control (ISAC) Research Group at Queen’s University Belfast. His PhD research was dedicated to the study of optimizing and control strategies for networked control system in industry field.
After graduation, he worked as a teaching fellow at Shanghai University and was appointed as in 2010. He is a member of the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Power Station Automation Technology and also a member of the UK-China joint laboratory on “Energy and Automation” formed in May 2009. This joint laboratory is based on the UK-China Science Bridge on Sustainable Energy and Built Environment.
His research interests cover nonlinear system modelling and control, networked control systems, bio-inspired intelligent computing including neural networks and fuzzy systems, with application to modeling, control and optimization of power generation plants and steel production processes for energy-saving and pollution reduction.
