Biography
Juan Yan (Joanna) studied in the Honours School of Harbin Institute of Technology, China for her Bachelor degree. In 2009 she was recommended to study in the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation for a Masters. Her graduation thesis, entitled ‘Equivalent circuit modelling and performance optimisation of a stripline radio frequency delay’, was ranked the 1st in the Vehicle and Apparatus group and class A within the School.
After graduating as an outstanding student for her performance during the entire 6 years, she came to QUB for further study in September 2011, supported by the Chinese Scholarship Council. She has joined the Energy, Power and Intelligent Control cluster and was awarded a UK-China
Science Bridge bursary by Queen’s University.
