Biography

 

Dr Lie Xu received the B.Sc. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1993, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Sheffield, U.K., in 2000. He joined the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Queens University of Belfast, in 2004. He also had spells with University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and ALSTOM T&D, Stafford. His current research interests include power electronics, wind energy generation, microgrid, and HVDC systems for renewable integration.
