Biography:

Ivor Spence is a senior lecturer in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Queen's University of Belfast, and leads the Telecommunications Software group.

He received a BSc in Computer Science in 1981 and was awarded a PhD in Computer Science in 1984 for his work into the automated production of code generators.

For five years he worked in British Telecom's Systems and Software Engineering Centre in Belfast.

Research Interests:

Architectures for software product families
Software for telecommunication and embedded systems
Algorithm design and construction, particularly for the satisfiability problem
